Any player with X amount of currency can create a clan (or make it free for now, which ever is easier for you) Player than can name clan and add members. Clan earns points every time a member from that clan kills a member from any other clan making clans a very important part of the game, members who kill civilians, (people not apart of any clan) loose points for his clan. You can tell if someone is in a clan if they have a dot over their head. Green dot is your clan, red is another clan. Players can check the ranking page in game to see what clan has the highest amount of points. Later on these points can be used to claim terriorty in the world of Wintersun, meaning the npcs in that area will only attack opposing clans.... This will also push players to go to other clan's area to level up, you get higher exp for leveling in a clan owned area that is not your own
