Level one characters since update have been nerfed to the point where a lvl 1 character can not kill a lvl 1 monster. You need to go in and make a level 1 character and see, I can't kill any level 1 creatures, they always win

The devil class isn't bugged from what I can see - you're just in an empty part of the map (populated for the next udpate) if you walk to the right you should see a river. up from that is (eventually) the protectorate village, and to your left is the monster 'beginner' island (under construction....)

yes i also lost exp for trying to kill the npc fiufsciak that was killing the npc killed me taking 30% of my exp

Yes, but it happened to me when another player died not me.
