I'm also experimenting with procedural map generation which will lend itself to things like mazes (with prizes probably, and random raid generation), even something like progressively more difficult, chained raids are being considered the new npc's should be being placed in areas that make sense for levels (near same-levels), however there are instances where that may not happen so will have a look. This may result in all npcs being re-placed in different locations once I've made this change as it's a procedural thing (so don't spend time documenting their locations!) Sounds awesome! [8 April 2015] been on it and seen (when you originally emailed me) - I've been ill since so nothing has been done. The server is logging the behaviour as it definitely does not seem to be lag based. There'll be a client and server update soon to address this (movement in the game is one of hte most difficult parts to prevent cheating with, and to look correct, as you have to take things like lag of the client into account, which can be variable during the connection Ian, I am currently working on sprites for WinterSun. You mean all of your inventories? If all, that could be dangerous for a single player that travels their way. Also the people that spawnkilling lower lvl than them, noobs are toast. Do you think its possible to lock pvp item drop to only 5 levels above or below the players involved so that noobs will not lose all their items due to higher level spawn killing them. So example: LVL 20 Player VS LVL 30 Player LVL 20 Player VS LVL 25 Player /or LVL 15 Player As due to the newst updates, there has been sighting of Overpowered NPCs everywhere, even near beginner towns so newbies already have a hard time travelling around Wintersun. If they have to lose items due to spawn-killing as well it would probably destroy their will to play. They might just quit entirely due to the difficulty + pressure from span-killing. If possible please change it! If possible, re-address the /clan suggestion i made previously to see who is in your clan and also if possible a simple trading system/ trade market or the like. Or perhaps implement a Skill Point system? Official WinterSun Facebook page: The HP system scales (internally), kind of +/- with your level, so whilst battling stuff at the same level as you may show the same damage levels, bopping a lvl 1 butterfly will usually show that you hit it for a lot of HP in one go (though I can change this so that the numbers look bigger when you're higher level, the actual battle outcomes won't change) The losing stuff is only equipped items, and the chance of drop is very low (it's /about/ a 1 in 20) of dropping an equipped item. I'm open to suggestions on this, though if you die, the winner isn't going to walk away if you're wearing shiny armour! Magic/spells/skilltrees are something I'm looking at. Skill trees are low priority (as it requires a crap-ton of artwork and thought, etc) Magic is easier to implement and may be next up after the quest log. If you can let me know where(ish) the overpowered NPCs are (especially their names) then I'll look at it - the NPCs level are based on the quest level, and those are based on the surrounding existing NPCs so there should be a slow progression in level The /clanlist stuff will be added, however give me time There will be things like auctions too (in the more distant future), so you can auction off your stuff to other players.
