Directly to Ian, though I think his active state here may pose as a long duration to the answer of the question, but does anyone know if this game is in OpenGL 1.0 or 2.0, or even made with OpenGL at all? For a pixelated game, I would think the Android's Canvas/SurfaceView API would hold this up. Because even with Wifi enabled, it still lags pretty hard. Which makes me think it's a SurfaceView created game, as it needs to render alot of things going on.

Not to take spot-light from a fellow game developer, my game is not even in the same category as WinterSun. But I like to know how other games are developed so I have a better idea of the over-all system.
I saw awhile back ago, someone had downloaded and opened the APK files, and was asking about the safe spots, if it was boolean or not. I don't really want to look at the game code (for legal matters), only this simple question answered.

In another suject: I havn't played in awhile, and I was playing shortly after the release of WinterSun, how has the game become?

To the question about the game... It can be somewhat chaotic at times due to the players swearing and constantly saying nonsensical things over the chats (not that it can really be helped since there are not any moderators to put a stop to it). WinterSun is not in such good spirits as it used to be when I started playing which was probably somewhere in April last year. I've seen it better. That's for sure. But I believe it still has hope.

Yeah, thats alot of games now-a-days. Well, thats the internet for ya. I was hoping he would have updated it severely by the time I had the chance to play it. But from the looks from the posts, it has not been through an extreme make-over. I really liked this game, because WarSpear Online has become too over-played/over-powered by people who are rich and can afford spending an entire year playing a game to just do nothing more than kill. There is no real base for that game but pvp and money.

hey ender i don't mind people cursing as long as it isn't at someone out of spite. what i really hate is when players
1) act extremely immature through their bad grammar and and lack of respect for other players as well the game
2) when high level players decide its OK to troll everyone lower than them constantly preventing them from enjoying the game as well as leveling up

as long as winter sun remains in a mature friendly and most importantly fun environment I have no issues with what goes on in the chat with cursing

but hey that's just like my opinion man 😉
